从事先进制造、制造系统方面的研究二十多年,先后创立了利物浦大学先进制造研究中心和埃克塞特大学制造与企业研究中心。指导博士生、博士后二十多名;主持完成了欧盟、英国工程与自然科学基金、英国政府和企业重大科研项目28项,经费达到900多万英镑;曾任英国西南地区制造企业顾问公司(由政府设立)首任董事、国际科技发展协会(IASTED)技术委员会委员;获国际奖项一项(2002年度国际EMERALD出版社本学科最佳论文奖),英国政府和机构奖项4项(2001年度英国机械工程学会撒切尔兄弟奖,1999年度及2005年度英国政府优秀工业合作奖,和1999年度英国MERSEYSIDE科技创新奖)。 |
